Evolve Gym 2021 Lockdown Closure Update 

Dearest Evolve member,

In response to the latest Government announcement extending lockdown restrictions for the UK for another six weeks, we are therefore keeping our gyms closed until this time.

Here is what you need to know with regards to your memberships:

  1. If a freeze has already been processed for you then we will automatically extend your freeze to cover February as well at the same rate of £5. This is applicable to both direct debit and pre paid memberships.
  2. If you froze for an increased nominal fee, this will remain the freeze amount for February unless you request otherwise. Please submit an email to your relevant branch to amend this if you wish.
  3. If you haven’t frozen but wish to do so following this latest announcement, you will be able to freeze for six weeks as has been proposed. This will be charged at the freeze fee of £7.50.

You MUST submit an email to your relevant branch to get this processed for you.

  1. If the lockdown is extended beyond the proposed six weeks, we will suitably notify you of any changes to the freeze process so that you may make decisions accordingly.

FAQ’S

What will happen to my membership during the closure?

Memberships will be running as normal unless you have already frozen or specifically request a freeze.

I have frozen already. What happens to my membership?

We will automatically extend the freeze for you at the same rate of £5 for the proposed time of this lockdown extension. Applies to both direct debit and pre-paid memberships.

I let my membership run but I now wish to freeze. How can I do this?

You need to email your relevant branch to formally request a freeze of your membership. Contact details below. The freeze fee for six weeks is £7.50.

What if I have a pre-paid membership?

You need to email your relevant branch to formally request a freeze of your membership. Contact details below. The freeze fee for six weeks is £7.50.

Can I pay an increased freeze fee?

Yes you can. Please state how much you wish to pay when you email your relevant branch to formally request a freeze of your membership. Contact details below.

My direct debit payment is due in a few days, can I still freeze?

We need at least 3-5 working days notice to apply a freeze and stop the full monthly rate from being debited. However we can defer your freeze to the following month instead to compensate for any payments debited during lockdown.

What if I have been charged already?

Unfortunately we are unable to issue refunds. We can defer your freeze to the following month instead to compensate for any payments debited during lockdown.

Does that mean I should cancel my direct debit instead?

No. Cancelling your direct debit means you will have to rejoin and incur the joining fee & possible increased membership rates. We can defer your freeze to the following month instead to compensate for any payments debited during lockdown.

How long is this lockdown for?

It is currently proposed until 16/02/21. We will be updating members as and when we know information via emails and:

What happens when the Government issues a re-opening?

All memberships, including those frozen, will resume billing as normal.

If I freeze for a month and the gym reopens earlier, what happens to my membership?

If tier 4 restrictions end earlier and your freeze payment has already been debited, then the time saved will be calculated via a pro rata fee for that month and added onto your next billing.

What if my freeze payment hasn’t been debited and the gym reopens earlier?

All memberships will be unfrozen when we reopen and normal billing will resume unless you specifically request otherwise.

I noticed my Fitsense App has a workout feature. Can I use this?

Yes! Our Fitsense app will also contain a backlog of training plans at your disposal. If you haven’t already, please download from the App Store or Google Play and follow the log in steps.
